My work is available online!; collaboration with brand new digital gallery ByProxy.

William Baldwin reached out to me a couple of months ago to visit my studio. We ended up at Kinda Tropical here in Austin and talked about the new digital platform he started called ByProxy. Brand new! I quickly realized William had a great vision and became one of the first artists he featured when the website launched, and quickly his first sale!

You might have noticed there is no mention of prices on any of my work on my website. Since my art is my full-time job, selling my work is essential for my art practice. However, I think many artists can agree that it can be hard to value our work correctly and pitch it to buyers.

Sales are why galleries are so important to me, as they help me negotiate with clients, advise me on pricing and do that icky sales pitch for me.

I’m excited to collaborate with William Baldwin. ByProxy is a new digital platform showcasing the work of emerging Artists, Designers, and Makers. Compared to a physical show, my work will be available for a longer duration, which I love! William founded By Proxy to make contemporary art, craft, and design available to a broad audience. The Platform features an evolving roster of diverse emerging contemporary talent among me and my good friend and fellow artist Alexis Mabry.
